Franklin Lodge A.F. & A.M.

Franklin Lodge was chartered in 1852 in the town of Grafton. Today, the town is a mixed community of light-industrial manufacturing, service industries, and professionals who commute to Worcester, Boston, or the surrounding communities within the I-95 corridor.

The town is wells erved by roads, with connections to the Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90), as well as State Highway routes 9, 20, 140, and I-290.

Franklin Lodge's charitable activities are supported by new programs, as well as by electronic recycling, sport shooting and Christmas tree collection and drop-off.

In the warm months, Franklin Lodge hosts a luncheon for members and their wives where they feast on steak and lobster. Chicken roasts, barbecues, day trips to sporting events and trips to points of interest both inside and outside of Boston are regularly proposed activities.

Many brothers in Franklin Lodge have continued their fraternal careers with involvement in Scottish Rite Freemasonry. Franklin Lodge regularly attends other events throughout the district, and has a traveling gavel, which has been claimed as far away as Plymouth.
