Mount Horeb Lodge (W) A.F. & A.M.

Mount Horeb Lodge, an active, vibrant lodge, located up the road from Horn Pond in Woburn, was chartered in 1855 and has met in Woburn on the first Wednesday of each month ever since. Included among our members over the years have been a former Mayor of Woburn, laborers, public officials, college students, electricians, clergymen, teachers, a judge, carpenters, doctors, construction workers, lawyers, engineers, and business leaders.

We welcome good men from all walks of life, regardless of religious affiliation, race, or ethnicity, always greeting each other on the level as lodge brothers. We have a rich history in Woburn, having participated in the laying of the cornerstone at the Federal Street Post Office, funding charitable efforts in and around Woburn, serving at the local soup kitchen (The Dwelling Place) , and marching in the annual Woburn Halloween Parade. Also some of our members volunteer their time at the Hospital Equipment Loan Program (H.E.L.P.) headquartered in Woburn, lending free hospital beds, walkers, and wheelchairs to the general public for as long as the equipment is needed.

Members of Mount Horeb Lodge purchased the Masonic Building at 17 Arlington Road in 1974 converting it from a personal residence to a jewel of a meeting place. The building is also home to two other Masonic Lodges: Somerville Lodge (originally from Somerville), iWilliam Parkman Lodge (serving Winchester residents), and an Eastern Star Chapter.
